Priscilla Hoback( 1939-2018) was a well-known artist in Santa Fe and beyond. Highly collected, her work is hard to come by. She came from a long line of strong and creative women. Many of her pieces were created using clay from the earth around her property in Gallisteo, New Mexico and fired in hand built kilns. I love the undulating primitive coils with the uneven horseheads and lid that doesn't fit properly. Her work embodied the Earth; primitive, uneven and a wonder to behold. This pot will come with a $55 book "Living Clay" authored by Priscilla detailing her journey in life and art.
I'm a decorator and collector who is downsizing many personal and inherited items. All have been well cared for and always in non-smoking homes. Please follow my shop so you don't miss out as I slowly part with great things. Thanks
