A refined 1960s accent chair upholstered in Brunschwig & Fils “Fabriano,” a 1996 designer textile created from the Italian archives of Fadini Borghi. The botanical print layers soft terracotta, blue, and green tones over a textured cotton ground, giving the chair a beautifully tailored presence.

The underlying frame dates to the late 1960s and is built with the kind of solid construction associated with better traditional furniture makers of that era. Beneath the skirt are carved wood legs with beaded detailing, and the chair retains its original curved silhouette, including the scalloped back panel that adds shape and dimension from behind.

The upholstery was refreshed in the 1990s, when this Brunschwig & Fils fabric was first released, and the work was executed with care — the skirt is well-balanced, the piping is crisp, and the proportions remain exactly as intended.
