Tall, … Read more Stunning old vase, presented in a soft white with scenes of court life around all sides of the vessel. Tall, measuring 17 inches in height it is a visual work of art. Colors of Rich, green, yellow, soft, pink, lavenders with accents of black. Around the underside of the rim is a Greek key pattern, another geometric pattern separates the neck from the shoulder and a geometric pattern wraps around the base finalizing the detail.

There is a hairline fracture on the inside of the vase that we discovered by shining a flashlight into the vessel. This doesn’t go thru to the outside. There is a 2” hairline (or crazing) on the outside that is near the inside line but not the same. There are some scuffs on each opposing side of the vessel, photos have been provided. Almost as if it were sanded intentionally. There is some loss of paint to faces in a few spots, photo provided. There are some fingernail like shaped spots where glaze doesn’t cover clay. There are imperfections in the hand painting of the piece. There is an evenness to the glazing on the inside of the vessel, that results in the Ceramic showing. See less
