A beautiful pair of antique barley twist armchairs with carved lion heads on the armrests, currently upholstered in a modern zebra-style suede fabric. The frame features distinctive barley twist (spiral) legs and arm supports, a popular style in the late 19th century. The armrests end with hand-carved lion heads. The chairs have been updated from their original condition with a black paint finish and contemporary upholstery. Very comfortable, with good back support.
Dimensions: 24.5” W. 22” D. 36.5” H. Seat height: 19”. Arm height: 27”.
