Elegantly balanced and meticulously painted in famille-rose enamels, the vases feature a vibrant palette of red, green, and blue—colors emblematic of the Guangxu era’s opulent taste.

Each vase depicts two five-clawed dragons, one red and one green, soaring amid swirling clouds in pursuit of a flaming pearl. The composition is dynamic yet harmonious, with rhythmic cloud and flame motifs enhancing the sense of movement. The glaze is softly lustrous, bearing a gentle patina that reflects the passage of time. The base bears a six-character underglaze-blue mark “Da Qing Kangxi Nianzhi”, an apocryphal mark typical of the Guangxu period, expressing reverence for the great Kangxi reign.
