Custom made flycatcher style pendant light. Glass is red with Art Deco engravings of Rene Lalique style sirens and diamond and filigree pattern running around the edge. Glass nests inside of a braided copper surround with bird and filigree details. Three braided copper “arms” connect the surround to the light fixture and canopy element. Wired for 2 bulbs.
This fixture was purchased at a speciality shop in NYC in the 1980s. Unclear on exact age. Glass could be from the 1930s/40s while the wiring and bulb elements are modern. Canopy is 6 inch wide with 4 inch and 2.75 inch screw spacing. You will never find another fixture quite like this!
DIMENSIONS: 23.25” w x 19” h (slightly larger at the base given the bowl shaped glass)
