set of two vintage Dansk stoneware plates designed by celebrated Danish designer Niels Refsgaard, known for his clean Scandinavian lines and timeless functional forms.
Each plate measures 7 inches in diameter and 1.25 inches deep
crafted in a smooth gray stoneware body accented by a warm chestnut brown rim. The combination of matte and glossy textures gives these pieces an understated, modern appeal that fits seamlessly into both contemporary and mid century settings.
Made in Japan for Dansk International during the late twentieth century, these plates reflect Refsgaard’s signature approach to everyday tableware—simple, durable, and beautifully balanced. They are ideal for bread, dessert, snacks, or small side servings, and they display beautifully in a minimalist or Scandinavian-inspired kitchen.
Both plates are in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks noted. Light utensil marks are present on the surface, consistent with gentle prior use. The bases are clearly marked Dansk International Designs Ltd Niels Refsgaard.
