Decorated … Read more This beautiful 19th-century Wedgwood black jasperware lidded jar is a striking example of Neoclassical design and refined British craftsmanship. Decorated with delicate white bas-relief figures and natural motifs set against a rich matte black background, the jar reflects the timeless elegance for which Wedgwood is renowned. Originally created as a tobacco pot, its removable lid and compact size make it just as useful today for storing small treasures, jewelry, or keepsakes.

The jar is simply stamped "WEDGWOOD" in all capital letters, a mark that dates the piece to the 19th century, before the addition of "England" became standard—adding to its authenticity and antique value. Measuring 4.25 inches high and 3.5 inches wide and deep, and weighing 14 ounces, this jar is both decorative and functional. Good antique condition, there are two chips to the rim of the lid, some staining (likely from tobacco) on interior lining. Light age-related wear.
