This is an antique French country style arm chair made of wormy wood (possibly chestnut or maple) with an authentic timeworn patina. The chair has a shaped ladder back, gracefully scrolled arms, woven natural rush seat, and beautifully curved legs supported by a double box stretcher.
The arm chair is somewhat petite in scale and measures 35" tall, 21.5" wide, and 22" deep with a seat height of 16 inches and an arm height of 27 inches.
The circa 1910 chair is in good antique condition. The chair is sturdy and comfortable. The wood finish has a rustic distressed finish suitable for the French country aesthetic. There was a repair done to a crack in the top rail. The rush seat is intact and tightly woven but some of the finish has rubbed off over time.
