This is a charming pair of French country style dining arm chairs with solid wood construction, shaped ladder backs, scrolled arms, woven natural rush seats, and shapely sabre style front legs supported by a double box stretcher. The front stretcher is nicely turned.
Each arm chair measures 39" tall, 21.75" wide, and 23" deep with a seat height of 18.5 inches and an arm height of 27 inches.
The 20th century chairs are in very good vintage condition. The chairs are sturdy and comfortable. The wood finish has a rustic distressed finish suitable for the French country or farmhouse aesthetic. There is some wear to the wood finish on the arms and legs, and there is some wood loss on the chair backs. The rush seat is in very good shape, but one chair has a couple strands frayed rush.
