A beautiful mid-century Italian Florentine pair, each featuring a giltwood octagonal frame, ornate brass appliqué, and a classic Rococo courting-scene miniature. The original mustard velvet/moire backing gives the artwork depth and dimension, making these ideal for the Fine Art → Collage category. This matched pair dates to the 1950s–1960s, crafted in the traditional Florentine method using layered gilt gesso over wood, beaded molding, and hand-applied filigree brass medallions framing each miniature print. The warm mustard moiré fabric creates a beautifully layered, collage-style presentation.
Both pieces retain their original paper backs with Italian production numbers typical of mid-century Florentine export workshops. Light gesso wear, soft patina, and velvet toning are fully consistent with authentic vintage Florentine décor. Sold as a matched pair and ready to hang.
