Realistically, I know there was a father and he got lost or broken. But dad's in real life do too, and this is a really familiar scene to me. If it weren't for the hat on the little boy, it could easily be my family. My brother wouldn't have worn that hat for anything. Santa or no Santa, there would have been a war. Sometimes things happen, and families aren't "normal". It doesn't make it any less a family, or make anyone love any less. But off my milk crate and on to the pieces. Mid century, brilliantly painted golden bronze on likely papier mache on plastic, with a stained black patina and realistically painted faces. I have another set of similarly painted pieces listed separately- but thats the typical four piece set.
