The … Read more ​A stunning very large, Neoclassical , Hollywood Regency or French Empire style round ebonised and gold gilt foyer/dining table.
The table features a solid black crackled, almost leather textured top. The top does have a sheen to it however, it is not as shiny as it appears in the photo's. The light source makes it appear to be lacquered which it is not.
The table has a highly ornamental base on all 4 sides featuring turned fluted legs, an X stretcher highlighted with gold gilt and decorative rosettes.
This is a stunning piece of fine furniture, and is a perfect round table for an entryway/foyer.
It can also be utilized as a dining room table with a larger piece of glass in place to allow for leg room underneath.
Although the original makers mark is not present at this time, this is a very high quality piece of fine furniture in the style of Maison Jansen, Theodore Alexander or Maitland Smith.
