Stunning Mid-Century Modern Murano teardrop Sommerso vase.
This is a modern abstract art glass vase. This style of glass work, featuring layers of different colors cased in clear glass, is often referred to as "Sommerso" (Italian for "submerged") and is a popular style associated with Murano glass makers like Flavio Poli or Luigi Onesto.
It is hand blown using the Sommerso techinque, where colored layers (in this case shades of purple an pink) are encased within clear glass.
