The vessel has an undulating design mouth. Its blush rose color is a soft background for the dramatic black raku marks.
It is signed and dated 1988 underneath.
Doris Miller studied and then taught at the Southwest Craft Center in San Antonio.
She has been in numerous exhibitions and was chosen as San Antonio Art Leagues artist of the year. She has also had several large commission jobs, allowing her larger installation works to be exhibited internationally.
