This Persian pottery vase is adorned with a vibrant turquoise glaze and detailed black slip decoration. The motifs include rabbits, deer and floral patterns. The flowing designs, coupled with the rich contrast between the black slip and the blue glaze, create a striking visual effect.
The vase comes with a paper tag that has a golden seal reading following:
"Blue Animal Vase from Persia"
Made of ground white stone. Design is drawn in India ink, blue color is lava. No kilns are used. Vase is baked in a haystack for 3 days until 800 degree F is reached."
