Rich in both history and craftsmanship, this distinguished piece features a central, heavy brass cartouche engraved with the name "Anne" beneath a finely executed five-point crown — a clear symbol of European aristocracy or royal connection.

The box is masterfully wrapped in embossed Moroccan leather, its surface adorned with intricate border patterns on all sides, reflecting the refined artistry of its era. Elegant gilt brass mounts with ornate floral scrollwork embellish the lid, while a coordinating brass lock plate graces the front (please note, the original key is no longer present).

The box measures 11 inches wide, 8.75 inches deep and 4 inches high. Opening the box reveals a light blue interior with two separate, fabric-lined compartments. The lid is luxuriously lined in silk, lending an added touch of sophistication to its presentation. Good antique condition with expected signs of age and use, including rubs, stains, and general wear. Some warping to the internal wood body from age.
