Interesting copper plate engraving titled "Les Juene Filles" by artist Robert Bertrand. Engraving depicts two young people, possibly young females, in a light and dark figural composition. It has a haunting but charming feel to it. Title and signature at the plate line and A.D. in the middle, comes from the latin "Delineavit" meaning the artist created both drawing and engraving.
There are several Robert Bertrand's listed, one being French. Since the style of this work indicates to me it is of French origin. Circa 1950's
Displayed in white mat, black frame under glass.
