WONDERFUL TOLE / TOLEWARE PAINTED TIN BOX

DESCRIPTION
Painted tin jewelry / trinket / money / document box, often used to store money or other valuables when traveling. Hand painted red, green and tan floral and foliate decorative swag on a black background. Iron bail handle on top, surrounded by painted flower decorations. Intact latch. Coffin-type top lid.
CONDITION
Overall excellent. Colors bright. Some surface oxidation, but virtually no paint loss. Latch and hinges work well (all visible in the images). A DELIGHTFUL MID 19TH CENTURY PAINTED TOLE TIN BOX IN TOP-NOTCH CONDITION!
