My name is Mark Sisco. I’ve been in the antiques and arts business since February of 1973 when I moved to Maine, straight out of college, to manage an antique shop with my parents. Shortly thereafter, I borrowed $2000 to purchase an antique blacksmith’s shop, and ventured out on my own. That was the start of a 50+ year career. Since then I’ve bought and sold millions of dollars worth of antiques and arts of all kinds. I’ve written over 1000 articles for one of the major trade papers in the industry. And I’ve appraised over 20,000 items, with values from $5 to $50,000,000.
