This exceptional piece combines classic European craftsmanship with the rich, tailored sensibility of early-2000s luxury upholstery.
The frame is hand-carved walnut, featuring elegant cabriole legs, scroll arms, and a shaped serpentine back typical of Louis XV influence. The carving is crisp and balanced, with deep relief along the apron and knees. This piece was purchased from a trade-only showroom at the Dallas Market Center.
The upholstery is pure Bentley Churchill quality: a sumptuous cut velvet seat in rich chocolate brown, paired with a coordinating striped velvet back woven in tones of bronze, olive, gold, and espresso. The palette is warm, sophisticated, and unmistakably high-end. The cushion is double-welted and professionally tailored with tight upholstery lines — a hallmark of Bentley Churchill’s in-house finishing.
The chair rests on a sturdy mortise-and-tenon frame with reinforced corner blocks, ensuring excellent stability and longevity. The upholstery remains plush, vibrant, and free from structural wear.
