There is a sense of mystery with figure in the back room. The dollhouse or maquette appear often in my work.

All symbols, motifs and other references are for the delight and interpretation of the viewer.

This heavy wood frame is from an estate sale. There are signs of restoration, although some imperfections, scuff marks, and age related wear remain visible. Having said that, it's a magnificent, substantial frame that completes this elegant painting.
