An early 19th century French Empire decorative box made of solid walnut with three dovetailed drawers, turned columns, and a top that is faux painted to look like veined black marble. Original brass knobs and escutcheons. Locks were never present. Waxed patina. Old repair on the top drawer. Perfect for storing treasured objects or for use as a jewelry box or men's valet. Circa 1800-1820.
