A vintage hand-painted Toleware metal tray by T. Nash Co. of New York, dating from the late 1940s to 1950s. The tray features a deep red enamel finish with a hand-painted floral bouquet in soft pinks, creams, and olive greens — classic of the postwar toleware style.
Made of enameled steel with a rolled rim and a baked, chip- and alcohol-resistant finish, this piece was both decorative and functional. The back retains its original silver foil label marked “T. Nash Co., N.Y. 3, N.Y.” — a postal format used before 1963, confirming its mid-century origin.
Displays beautifully atop an ottoman, a vanity catchall, or a bar serving tray. The hand-painted surface shows wear and fading to the floral design from decades of gentle use, adding authentic mid-century character without affecting stability.
