Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), sculptural figural form believed to be a depiction of Guanyin / Avalokiteshvara, seated in padmasana upon lotus throne base, framed by halo of flames, parcel gilt with red lacquer accents, accompanied by a later Ming style hardwood display stand.

Retaining the original beautifully aged patina, with scattered remnants of gilt decoration, old woodworm pinholes, overall worn faded organically distressed patina, this exceptional object is sure to add sophisticated antique character, serene charm, rustic warmth, and rich historical depth and cultural interest to any space!
