This antique European stoneware jug with handle was a common household item from the 1700s to the 1880s. Historically used for storing liquids like water or milk, the durable pottery features a salt glaze. Recently acquired from a Dutch importer, there are three similar vessels that display beautifully but sold separately. The cool natural color and sculptural lines make a beautiful grouping.
