Appears to be from Ireland, due to use of the heart and crown symbol (precursor to heart, crown, and clasped hands of today's Claddagh rings) and the lack of the letter J in the Irish alphabet. Newly conservation framed, with museum glass. Sampler lightly stitched to mat to compensate for expansion and contraction corresponding to changes in humidity. Sampler 11" high x 10" wide. Overall frame 16" high x 15" wide. See less
