The top has a bit of a patchwork design to the wood. The faux bamboo goes around the table and repeats on the legs. The legs are removable and the table will ship that way. Many times leaves are lighter than a table however this matches beautifully. The table is very clean including the underneath area. The finish absolutely can be used. That being said of course you could paint it. This is circa 70s early 80s. Great for Regency, Tropical and Coastal decor. The table is square until you add the leaf which makes it rectangular.

Condition: Lovely vintage condition. One light scratch the person who sold it to me mentioned. I never really noticed it.
