mid century modern Shirakiya Japanese lacquerware stacking bowl set featuring an intricate gold maki-e pagoda landscape with trees, water, mountains, and birds. The design is enhanced with genuine abalone mother of pearl inlay for iridescent highlights. The smaller bowls nest neatly inside the large serving bowl, as originally designed.
