Detailed and crafted to look like a woven rattan, this vintage, ceramic table lamp offers effortless textural interest for any room. This rare and very unique lamp was designed by Zajac in 1972 and retains it's original paper label. Lamp is newly rewired with braided cord and comes with new, khaki-colored fabric shade.
Fresh out of Parson's Design School in NYC, Edward Zajac landed a job with and became the protege of legendary interior decorator Billy Baldwin. He worked for Baldwin for nine years before venturing out on his own and eventually partnering with Richard Callahan. During the 1970's, Zajac and Callahan interiors were known for their bold and daring mix of color and pattern. In addition, he was also known for designing his own pieces like this fantastic lamp.
