Description from AI
This is a champlevé enamel vase. Champlevé is an enameling technique where troughs or cells are carved into a metal object and filled with vitreous enamel.
The term "champlevé" comes from the French for "raised field".
The technique involves firing the piece until the enamel fuses, and then the surface is polished.
The uncarved portions of the metal remain visible, forming a frame for the enamel designs.
This type of vase, often featuring intricate floral or mythical designs, was popular in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
