This powder horn is carved from a ram or bull cow horn and has scrimshaw style decoration of a fox and a tree. The simplistic decoration of a fox, that looks very cat like, has a very charming Folk art appeal. The horn was probably used to carry powder for fox hunting in traditional English fashion. There are some old use related damages to the horn and it is missing it's end caps.

Condition: Some old cracking to the horn, the piece is missing the end caps for the powder horn.
