Born in the later years of the 19th century, each of this pair of French Rococo style wall sconces features a dark metal scrolling armature, adorned with a variety of faceted crystals and rosettes. Spear-shaped crystals spring from the top, while delicate strands drape the entire structure, leading the eye to the two arms, supporting the wax candle sleeves. A delicate arrangement of pendeloques concludes the ensemble. Wired for the US and ready to be placed against a wall, this pair of French, 1890s Rococo style appliques will enliven any room beautifully, perhaps flanking a mirror placed atop an enfilade or a painting above a chest-of-drawers.
