Born in France during the reign of King Louis XV nicknamed the Beloved, each of this pair of exquisite silvered bronze candlesticks features a simple cup with fluted accents, supporting the pricket made to receive the candle. The central column is adorned with gadrooned motifs, but it is the tripartite base that attracts our attention with its delicate motifs that include volutes on the sides, while the ensemble is raised on paw feet.
