The chandelier was hand-carved by someone who was a master in its craft making this chandelier one of a kind. The base of the chandelier has eight carved faces of a man. Impeccable detail is seen throughout the chandelier especially in the base and ornate finale. They would-be then covered in gold leaf making this chandelier more bold and luxurious. We recommend using LED lights because they help preserve antique fixtures longer. Antique fixtures must be adapted to modern homes. This fixture requires a canopy and chain that are not included in order to hang from the ceiling. Please check with your electrician or contractor for additional specifics on installing antique lighting. This chandelier was carved by hand so there might be some slight imperfections making this fixture unique and one of a kind. The gold leaf is fading in some areas due to its antiqueness. There is a rich patina the wood. All the moldings are complete and all pieces are original to this chandelier. There are some old repairs that were made in the arms of the chandelier.
