1930s Verlys France Signed Water Lilies Frosted Art Glass Bowl
~ This large art deco-inspired art glass bowl features Water Lilies in high relief. This is a beautiful and heavy glass dish/bowl; the interior is polished and smooth while the exterior has the designs in a satinized/frosted finish. The bowl is signed/marked as is typical of the original manufacturer dating the piece to circa pre-WWII. During the war Verlys ceased production of their decorative treasures and focused on making headlamps for vehicles to assist in the war effort. It's always a joy to discover that some of these treasures have survived so many generations thanks to the efforts of their caring guardians!
