AI Overview
This is a Chinese cloisonné enamel vase. Cloisonné is an ancient technique for decorating metalwork objects using colored enamel held in place by metal strips or wires.
The technique involves soldering thin metal strips to a metal surface to form compartments, which are then filled with colored enamel paste.
The object is then fired, ground smooth, and polished.
Cloisonné vases often feature traditional floral and geometric designs.
In ancient China, cloisonné was a symbol of high status and was primarily used by the royal family.
