Summer is coming, fruits and vegetables will need to be collected and transported. Why not transport your bounty in an antique wire mesh basket that has carried innumerable harvests in its history? Ok, so it is just a basket and could easily be replaced with a plastic bag from your local grocery store. But doesn't the effort put into cultivation deserve to be presented with dignity, let alone with a smaller carbon footprint? It appears that my late-Mother felt that way, and well before it was the trend to do so. Whether forward-thinking or fond reminiscence, the logic of this basket compelled her to buy and use it, albeit in a semi-retired capacity but always for maximum visual impact.

It measures: 16 1/2" High at top of handle, 9 1/2" High at mouth, 12" Diameter at mouth and 8 3/4" Diameter at its base. See less
