Standing 8” tall, it’s perfect for displaying a handful of flowers or as a striking decor piece. The vase is signed on the bottom, though we were unable to find information about the artist.

Sgraffito pottery is a decorative technique in which designs are created by scratching through a layer of colored slip to reveal the contrasting clay body beneath. In this case, the black clay is exposed to form the design. After the pattern is etched, the piece is fired, resulting in a matte exterior finish and a glossy, crackled interior.
