This antique hand-carved wooden architectural element from India, which stands approximately 5.5 feet in height, features a smooth, rounded column body which tapers gently as it rises, with ringed accents and a turnip-shaped carving adorning it's top. This piece is nicely displayed upon a 1/2 inch thick, circular-shaped, custom iron base (which is included). The wood is has a nice patina and cracking, showing it's age and prior history of use. This 19th century British Colonial column would make a great decorative object, adding nice height and architectural interest within your home or office, perhaps filling an otherwise void corner.
