Framed in a folk art Starburst style wood frame, this embroidered sampler is a beautiful testament to the craftsmanship of artisans of the early 20th century. The frame is created from wood, with geometric carved pieces which overlap and jut out from the sides. Overlapping pieces of carved wood cross over each of the corners and are decorated with white beads. An inner giltwood frame decorates the inside of the brown wood frame.
The sampler itself is framed in glass and is stitched in every letter of the alphabet in a rainbow of colors with some discoloration to the fabric.
