I … Read more This lovely Victorian chair was obtained in 1976 from the now closed Lit Brothers Flagship Department Store in Philadelphia. I was told that it is a Victorian ballroom chair that was being used in the stores' display windows, as a prop.

Lit Brothers opened its' flagship location in 1891 at 8th and Market Streets in Philadelphia and closed in 1977 after filing for bankruptcy.

I loosely covered that original seat fabric (the original fabric is still on the seat; see photo) with a rich, green needle point showing lovely roses. You can easily lift this 2nd fabric covering off if you wish. The seat is not attached.

The chair is in excellent used condition and would make a lovely conversation piece in you home.

The chair itself is 32 inches high. The seat is 16 1/2 inches wide.
The depth of the chair is 14 inches. The height from the floor to the seat is 16 1/2 inches. See less
