The desk top has been completely hand-sanded and refinished though some signs of wear remain as the veneer was too thin to sand-out some gouges and burns entirely (all remaining wear can be seen in the detail photos and natural light video provided). The legs and frame are in stunning original condition and show only minor wear such as a localized area of minor gouges and surface scratches (the worst of which can be seen in the detail photos and natural light video provided). With that said this desk is a marvelous time piece with variegated woodgrains that are truly mesmerizing in natural light. The single drawer opens and closes with ease and the desk top easily slides open and close exposing more storage space underneath with a fully extended depth of 37". This artfully designed and crafted writer's desk is incredibly functional, structurally sound and ready for a lifetime more of use thanks to it's recent restoration process. Please view all photos and video for details on this desk's current condition. We're limited on the amount of media we can post so additional photos and videos are available upon request. less
