There is a matching set of two, with one being amber glass and the other amber carnival glass. The fruit sections, designated by images impessed in the bottom of the plates to give an interesting appearance when viewing from the top are for grapes, pears, apples, peaches and plums. In days when fresh fruit was enjoyed more often as snacks, these plates might have served bridge clubs, company in the breezeway or patio, or placed on the buffet for holidays to accompany a meal. Scalloped edges surround the entire plate and the handles are three round flattened glass "beads". They are both interesting and beautiful! See less
