They are in excellent condition and do not appear to have been used except as a decor accent next to the fireplace. The base is a round piece of Italian Carrara Marble with three brass paw-style feet and brass rail. There are four tools of brass that have a beautifully aged patina. The handles are faux marble so they don’t absorb the heat like a stone does. Beautiful vintage set.
