These are a pair of Chinese porcelain baluster vases decorated with iron-red Foo Dogs, also known as Chinese guardian lions. These mythical creatures are a common motif in Chinese art and were traditionally placed in pairs to guard temples, palaces, and homes, symbolizing protection and prosperity.
The late 19th and early 20th century, particularly from the Qing or Republic periods. Please Note one has a small hairline crack on the back its shown in the photo.
