Rectangular top with curved corners, 2.5" beaded edge apron, a solid wooden locking rail mechanism, ornate pedestals with urn and scroll details and antique brass talon-form feet covers. A 12" leaf expands the table from 56.25" to 68.25" in length. A complete set of high-quality, matching table pads with green felt backing is included. The pads are designed to be used with or without the leaf.

Paper label on underside of leaf: Thomasville Chair Company, Thomasville, NC; Model #747-34 38F stamped en verso of table along with some written notations of unknown origin. Our research indicates that this table would have been fabricated sometime between 1904 & 1961, the latter date when the company merged with B.F. Huntley Co. and was renamed Thomasville Furniture Industries. From the styling of the piece, especially the pedestal details, we believe it to be from the 1940s. Our research turned up nothing for the retail store included on the tag: "Hadleys Miami, FL".

Dimensions: Overall, 36"w x 56..25"l (without leaf), 68.25"l (with leaf); clearance from floor to lower edge of apron: 26.25"h.

Condition: Very good vintage condition with 80+ years of enjoyment. Structurally sound, top very good finish. Some naturally occurring wear on pedestal legs, very few scratches on top except one at the center of the leaf which can be felt but is not readily noticeable if surface is polished. Slight difference in color between the table and the leaf, as shown. Table pads are very good with strong hinges, minor wear to the table pad edges.
