"Imperial Mates" unframed serigraph art print on paper by American realist artist Dallas John. Paper Size: 30" x 23", Image Size: 25" x 19". Edition Number: 151/225. Condition: Mint. Pencil signed, titled, dated '83 and numbered by the artist. Certificate of Authenticity is included. Offers considered.
BIO:Dallas John
Born June 29, 1945 in Illinois.
After years as an urban planner he abandoned that lucrative profession in favor of life as an artist. His involvement with art began in Berkeley- illustrating his own research reports and newspaper articles on planning. A year traveling in Central and South America provided a break from bureaucracy and changed Dallas John s life. He returned to the United States, moved to Denver and took up graphic art as a profession.This lead into commercial silkscreening. In this spare time Dallas tried his hand at silkscreening his first art piece. This lead Dallas into development of the distinctive serigraphic style, which distinguishes the rich works he is known for today. The intricacies of color, texture and perspective in Dallas' serigraphs reveal the artist s love of the land and reflect his academic background. Born and raised in Illinois, Dallas received his Bachelors degree in geography at the University of Denver, then a Masters degree in Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina.
He worked as an urban and transit planner in New York and Berkeley over a span of six years. But Dallas found he was not happy in that profession and turned to art.
Art has a lot more potential for keeping me happy. I don t really specialize. That way you just burn out. My subjects keep evolving. In the future I plan to travel, to do foreign subjects. And wildlife where the scenery is incredible.

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).
- On approved returns, the buyer is responsible for the full cost of return packing and shipping.
Cancellations
- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.
- Shipping charges start at $999 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.
