Antique French Wall Shelf Corbel Carved Eagle Black Forest Statue Wood c1880.
Direct from France, a stunning antique French solid wood corbel or wall shelf in a size that can easily accommodate that special vase or statue for display.
Superb hand carving details from the eye and beak of the eagle to the feathers on the outstretched wings and the texture on the talons gripping the carved branch.
The skill of the Black Forest master carver of this art is further exhibited in the proportional body shaping and posture. Circa1880.
