Pierre Frey "Budapest" is a magnificent carved velvet with a dominant linen pattern of Hungarian stitch, characteristic of the 17th century. A Hungarian stitch is one of the oldest needlepoint techniques and employs three long stitches combined with two shorter ones to deliver, roughly, a diamond shaped result. Very intricate. The end pattern gives a Missoni inspired reinvented flame stitch of sorts in shades of rose, red, green, yellow….

Ocelot is a glorious animal print in raised velvet from Cowtan and Tout. Its subtle print and texture in red and creamy tan make it a very versatile option for pairing.
